ApiTrade Africa has led and partnered in a number of apicultural, conservation and capacity development projects in and around Africa over the years. Some of the key notable ones are shown below:

Financial support for African delegates and Exhibitors who participated in the XXXXIII Apimondia International Apicultural Congress in Kiev-Ukraine, held from 29th September - 4th October 2013 ACDI-VOCA (USAID), Tanzania Forest Services, Swiss Contact, Ethiopian Apiculture Board, The Republic of Zimbabwe (Ministry of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation)
Inclusive markets Uganda (IMU), a project aimed at reduction of poverty for honey farmers; assisting them to participate in the production of honey for increased incomes, employment creation and livelihood improvement. 2013 on-going

Swiss Contact - Uganda, Mininstry and Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), The Uganda National Apiculture Development Organisation (TUNADO)

Consultancy and partnership work under Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EBA) project. EBA is a global program covering Nepal, Peru and Uganda (Mt. Elgon ranges), jointly supported by UNEP, UNDP and IUCN and funded by the German Government. ApiTrade Africa supported the development of markets for honey produced in Mt. Elgon ranges to motivate the communities to conserve. 2011 - 2012 International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)
Advisory and partnership in The Uganda Honey Trade Project (funded by Comic Relief UK).  One of the key activities undertaken (in 2011) was a study and documentation of the experience of SMEs involved in honey processing and exports from Cameroon. The outcome of the study was to inform the process of providing practical support to enable Kamwenge Beekeeper’s Cooperative Society and other honey SMEs in Uganda to improve their practices related to quality and market access. 2010 - 2014 Bees for Development
Financial and technical support towards the 3rd ApiExpo Africa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 2012 ACDI-VOCA (USAID), SNV, Farm Africa, Oxfam GB, CORDAID, and government of Ethiopia
Strengthening East African SMES involved in the export of honey and beeswax to the EU markets. The project was funded by CDE and co-finaced by SNV Uganda and ApiTrade Africa. 2011 European Unions’ Centre for Development of Enterprises (CDE)

Financial and technical support in the process of holding the first All-African ApiExpo Africa to promote beekeeping and honey trade in Africa. The event took place in Kampala from 21st to 24th October 2008. 2008 SNV - Uganda
